There are several ways to use the Grid
Extender in the BGE.
As you can see - there are several ways to use the Grid Extender.

The Grid Extender on the main grid. You can cook on both or place a drip pan under the top grid. |
The Grid Extender with a pizza stone on top. To prevent burnt crust, firebricks might be needed as in the picture to the right. |
The Grid Extender with 3 firebricks under it. You could now add the pizza stone or place a drip pan on the bricks and under the top grid. |
